Care and Maintenance

Eco Surfaces are hygienic, durable  and easy to clean. Use the guidelines below to  ensure proper maintenance and maximize the longevity of your benchtop.

Daily Care & Maintenance

Routine Cleaning

Use non-bleach, non-abrasive cleaners with lukewarm water and a damp cloth or sponge for regular cleaning. Promptly wipe off spills, including fruits, vegetables, and food colourings. Clean with mild detergent and water.

Cleaning Stubborn Stains

If regular cleaning methods are ineffective, use a non-abrasive cleaning pad with a glass and surface cleaner or “Cream Cleanser.”  Apply light pressure in
circular motions on wet surfaces.

Avoid Harsh Chemicals

Do not use steel wool or harsh chemicals such as paint remover, concentrated bleach, or acetone on Eco Surfaces.

Preventing Damage

Follow the below guidelines to protect your Eco Surfaces from potential damage and maintain their pristine condition.

Food Preparation

Always use a cutting board to avoid cutting directly on the Eco Surfaces benchtop.

Heat

Eco Surfaces offer excellent heat resistance. Avoid placing hot pans directly from the stove or heat-generating appliances such as slow cookers, portable stoves, microwaves, and deep fryers on the benchtop. Maintain a distance of at least 300mm from joins and use heat-resistant pads to protect the surface.

Stains

Immediately blot spills with a paper towel or cloth to prevent staining.
Do not let liquids sit on the surface for extended periods.

Chemicals

Refrain from using strong chemicals such as paint removers, oven cleaners, acetone, or harsh cleaning products on Eco Surfaces. If accidentally exposed, rinse promptly with water. Use a non-acetone remover for spills like nail polish.

Scratches

Lift heavy objects instead of dragging them across the surface, especially ceramic plates, pots, and pans. Place felt or rubber pads under small appliances like air fryers and slow cookers to prevent scratches if they shift during use. Use trivets or hot pads under hot pots and pans to protect the surface from heat stress and potential scratches.
